My Rendition of "TI RATANA VINDANA"
Wednesday, 06 January 2010 15:44

Ti Ratana Vindana means "a salutation (or praise) to the three jewels" in Buddhism, the three jewels are the Buddha, sangha (community) and the dharma (the practice). The picture above is the symbol of the three jewels. The words are an ancient chant spoken in Pali - the language of the Buddha. I chant the Ti Ratana Vandana often before I do a serious meditation sit. The words are soothing and allow me to become closer to the higher spirit (most know as God). It is usually chanted slower in a much more beautiful way. Rather than a traditional chant, I chose to rap the chant as if it were verses in order to share with the Hip-Hop world. I hope you likes. Thanks to arndroid for the production. Also, the sample is another one from Norah Jones. Dig it! Click below:

I loved listening to this. Reminded me of my childhood when we used to chant Nam Myoho Renge Kyo.
