San Francisco performer Emassin invites the world to listen and watch. He's worked with Bay Area renowned producers CeeRock and Deedot, and producer/filmmaker Arndroid. You may know Emassin as part of the underground Hip-Hop crew ELEMNOP (Beetiki, DexBeats, CeeRock, Geezy), but with 4 solo projects already under his belt he's grown to also make a name for himself as an independent artist.

Throw Your Hands Up - New Song

I wanted to make a song in response to everything that's been going on in the neighborhood. It's pretty hot in the Southeast right now and if your from the city you probably already know wussup. This is just my reaction to being in the thick of it all.

Let It Die

I've been bangin' the bujeebiez out of this album lately. Feist is one of my all time favorite artists ever and I've been resonating with one of her older albums lately- Let It Die. The songs are super simple but the mesh of instruments and ingenius transitions prove an artful complexity. Plus, her voice is majorly grounding. Lovin' this album and always will. Below are my favorite joints.

enjoy

e

Mushaboom: The acoustic guitar with light claps combined with the tamborine, trumpet, piano and the xylophone go together like pb&j. Plus, her voice tops it off like sweet bananas. The storyline is pretty groovey too.

Lonely Lonely: Her riffs are gentle but so strong. My favorite part is the transition at 3:30. Sweet!

Tout Doucemont: This is my Sunday afternoon, ideally... Actually, life in general would be so awesome this way.

English Translation:

All slow, all slow, all slowly
Always, all slow, all slowly
This way
Strolling prettily

Never go too fast
Loving simply
To get success
Be very very prudent (cautious)
Love will then come
And snuggle up in your arms

All slow, all slow, all slowly
Always, all slow, all slowly
This way
Strolling prettily
Smiling prettily
Strolling prettily
All slowly
